Términos y condiciones

Estos términos son el acuerdo entre tú y Patio por usar el sitio y sus servicios. Al crear tu cuenta, publicar algo o contactar a un vendedor, aceptas todo lo que está aquí. Si no estás de acuerdo, no uses Patio.
1. Qué es Patio y qué no es
Patio es un mercado por invitación donde miembros publican artículos, boletos y subarriendos para venderlos a otros miembros. Patio es únicamente el lugar donde se conocen: no compra, no vende, no envía, no almacena, no inspecciona y no procesa pagos.
- Patio no es parte de ningún acuerdo entre comprador y vendedor.
- Patio no verifica que un artículo exista, que sea auténtico, que funcione, que esté en la condición descrita ni que el precio sea razonable.
- Patio no garantiza que una venta se concrete, que te paguen, que te entreguen o que la otra persona cumpla.
- El pago y la entrega los arreglan directamente las dos personas, por fuera de Patio.
2. Quién puede usar Patio
- Debes tener al menos 18 años y capacidad legal para comprar y vender.
- Patio es por invitación: necesitas el código de un miembro para crear tu cuenta.
- Una persona, una cuenta. No crees cuentas con el número de otra persona ni te hagas pasar por alguien más.
- Los datos que des al registrarte deben ser reales y estar al día.
3. Tu cuenta
- Tu número de WhatsApp es tu punto de contacto: los miembros interesados en lo que publiques te escribirán ahí. Al publicar, aceptas que tu número se muestre a los miembros con sesión iniciada que abran tu publicación.
- Eres responsable de tu contraseña y de todo lo que pase desde tu cuenta. Si crees que alguien más entró, avísanos de inmediato.
- Puedes pedir que borremos tu cuenta cuando quieras. Al borrarla se van también tus publicaciones.
Cuentas creadas por el equipo
Con tu permiso, el equipo de Patio puede crear tu cuenta y publicar tus artículos por ti (por ejemplo, cuando nos pasas tus fotos por WhatsApp). Esa cuenta es tuya: la reclamas entrando con tu número y poniendo una contraseña, y desde ahí puedes editar, marcar como vendido o eliminar lo que quieras. Si no quieres que tus cosas estén publicadas, escríbenos y las quitamos.
4. Lo que publicas
- Publica solo cosas que sean tuyas y que tengas derecho a vender.
- Las fotos deben ser reales y del artículo que vendes, o de su catálogo cuando el artículo es idéntico al de la foto. No uses fotos que engañen sobre el estado real.
- La descripción, el precio, la condición y la ubicación deben ser verdaderos. Si algo tiene un daño, dilo.
- Marca como vendido lo que ya vendiste y quita lo que ya no está disponible.
- No publiques la misma cosa muchas veces ni llenes el mercado de publicaciones repetidas.
- Al publicar nos das permiso para mostrar tus fotos y tu texto dentro de Patio y en las vistas previas de los links que se comparten (por ejemplo, en WhatsApp).
- Eres el único responsable de que lo que publicas cumpla la ley del lugar donde vendes, incluidos impuestos y permisos si te aplican.
5. Lo que no se puede vender ni publicar
Está prohibido publicar, ofrecer o pedir:
- Armas, municiones, explosivos y sus partes.
- Drogas, sustancias controladas, parafernalia, tabaco, vapes y alcohol.
- Medicamentos, suplementos, productos médicos y todo lo que requiera receta.
- Animales vivos y partes del cuerpo o fluidos humanos.
- Cosas robadas, recuperadas ilegalmente o con reporte de retiro del mercado.
- Réplicas y productos falsificados de cualquier marca.
- Documentos oficiales, identificaciones, datos personales, cuentas, tarjetas, contraseñas o bases de datos.
- Dinero, criptomonedas, servicios financieros, préstamos, inversiones y cupones o tarjetas de regalo.
- Contenido sexual o para adultos, y cualquier cosa que involucre a menores.
- Esquemas piramidales, "trabaja desde casa", rifas, sorteos y cualquier oferta engañosa.
- Servicios de citas, publicidad, spam o promoción de otras plataformas.
- Cualquier cosa ilegal donde se hace la transacción.
Los boletos y subarriendos se permiten siempre que tengas derecho a transferirlos y que respetes las reglas del evento, el contrato de arrendamiento y la ley local.
6. Cómo comportarse
- No acoses, amenaces ni discrimines a nadie.
- No uses Patio para estafar, pedir dinero por adelantado con excusas ni mandar links de pago sospechosos.
- No recolectes números ni datos de otros miembros para usarlos por fuera de Patio.
- No intentes romper, copiar o automatizar el sitio (bots, scraping, ingeniería inversa).
- No compartas tu link de invitación con desconocidos: la comunidad funciona porque cada quien responde por a quién invita.
7. Seguridad al comprar y vender
Como Patio no participa en la transacción, la precaución corre por tu cuenta. Recomendaciones:
- Reúnete en un lugar público y de día; si es en una casa, ve acompañado.
- Revisa el artículo antes de pagar. Pruébalo si se puede.
- Desconfía de quien te presione, pague de más "por error", pida devoluciones por otro medio, mande links de pago o quiera cerrar sin verte.
- Para boletos, confirma que la transferencia se hizo en la plataforma oficial del evento antes de pagar.
- Para subarriendos, lee el contrato y confirma con el arrendador que se permite subarrendar.
- Nunca compartas contraseñas ni códigos de verificación que te lleguen por mensaje.
Si algo sale mal, escríbenos: podemos suspender cuentas y quitar publicaciones, pero no podemos recuperar tu dinero ni obligar a nadie a cumplir.
8. Patio Partners
Algunos negocios aparecen como Patio Partners, con un distintivo y su logo. Ese distintivo significa únicamente que el equipo de Patio confirmó quién está detrás de esa cuenta. No es una garantía sobre los artículos, los precios, la entrega ni el servicio de ese negocio.
9. Precios y cobros
Hoy publicar en Patio es gratis. Patio puede empezar a cobrar por publicar o por funciones adicionales; si eso pasa, el costo se muestra antes de que publiques y nunca se te cobra sin que lo aceptes. Patio no cobra comisión sobre lo que vendas ni interviene en el pago entre las partes.
10. Tus datos
- Guardamos lo mínimo para que el sitio funcione: tu nombre, tu número, tu idioma, tus publicaciones y datos de uso como vistas y contactos.
- Tu nombre es público dentro de Patio. Tu número solo se muestra a miembros con sesión iniciada; los visitantes anónimos no lo ven.
- La ubicación que pones en una publicación es el punto que tú elijas en el mapa. Pon una referencia de zona, no la puerta de tu casa, si no quieres que se sepa tu dirección exacta.
- No vendemos tus datos.
11. Suspensión de cuentas
Podemos quitar una publicación, suspender una cuenta o bloquear un número, sin aviso previo, si se rompen estos términos, si hay reportes de fraude o si algo pone en riesgo a la comunidad. Un número bloqueado no puede volver a registrarse hasta que se desbloquee.
12. Sin garantías y límite de responsabilidad
Patio se ofrece "tal cual", sin garantía de que esté siempre disponible, libre de errores o de que encuentres comprador. En la medida en que la ley lo permita, Patio y quienes lo operan no responden por pérdidas, daños, estafas, artículos defectuosos, entregas que no ocurrieron, acuerdos incumplidos ni por el comportamiento de ningún miembro, dentro o fuera del sitio. Usar Patio es bajo tu propio riesgo.
13. Cambios
Podemos actualizar estos términos. La fecha de arriba dice cuándo fue la última vez. Si sigues usando Patio después de un cambio, se entiende que lo aceptas.

These terms are the agreement between you and Patio for using the site and its services. By creating an account, posting something or contacting a seller, you accept everything here. If you don't agree, don't use Patio.
1. What Patio is and isn't
Patio is an invite-only marketplace where members post items, tickets and subleases for other members. Patio is only the place where you meet: it doesn't buy, sell, ship, store, inspect or process payments.
- Patio is not a party to any agreement between a buyer and a seller.
- Patio does not verify that an item exists, is authentic, works, matches its description or is fairly priced.
- Patio does not guarantee that a sale happens, that you get paid, that you get the item, or that the other person keeps their word.
- Payment and delivery are arranged directly between the two people, outside of Patio.
2. Who can use Patio
- You must be at least 18 and legally able to buy and sell.
- Patio is invite-only: you need a member's code to create your account.
- One person, one account. Don't sign up with someone else's number or impersonate anyone.
- The details you give at sign-up must be true and current.
3. Your account
- Your WhatsApp number is your contact point: members interested in your posts will message you there. By posting, you agree that your number is shown to signed-in members who open your listing.
- You're responsible for your password and for everything done from your account. Tell us right away if you think someone else got in.
- You can ask us to delete your account at any time. Deleting it also removes your listings.
Accounts created by the team
With your permission, the Patio team may create your account and post your items for you (for example, when you send us your photos on WhatsApp). That account is yours: claim it by signing in with your number and setting a password, and from there you can edit, mark as sold or delete anything. If you'd rather not have your items listed, message us and we'll take them down.
4. What you post
- Only post things that are yours and that you have the right to sell.
- Photos must be real and of the item you're selling, or catalog photos when the item is identical to the picture. Don't use photos that misrepresent the actual condition.
- Description, price, condition and location must be truthful. If something is damaged, say so.
- Mark as sold what you've sold and remove what's no longer available.
- Don't repost the same thing over and over or flood the feed with duplicates.
- By posting, you let us show your photos and text inside Patio and in link previews when listings are shared (on WhatsApp, for example).
- You alone are responsible for complying with the law where you sell, including taxes and permits if they apply to you.
5. What can't be sold or posted
You may not post, offer or ask for:
- Weapons, ammunition, explosives and their parts.
- Drugs, controlled substances, paraphernalia, tobacco, vapes and alcohol.
- Medication, supplements, medical products and anything requiring a prescription.
- Live animals, and human body parts or fluids.
- Stolen or unlawfully obtained goods, and recalled products.
- Counterfeits and replicas of any brand.
- Official documents, IDs, personal data, accounts, cards, passwords or databases.
- Money, cryptocurrency, financial services, loans, investments, coupons and gift cards.
- Sexual or adult content, and anything involving minors.
- Pyramid schemes, "work from home" offers, raffles, giveaways and any deceptive offer.
- Dating services, advertising, spam or promotion of other platforms.
- Anything illegal where the transaction takes place.
Tickets and subleases are allowed as long as you have the right to transfer them and you follow the event's rules, your lease and local law.
6. How to behave
- No harassment, threats or discrimination.
- Don't use Patio to scam, to ask for money up front with excuses, or to send sketchy payment links.
- Don't harvest members' numbers or data to use outside Patio.
- Don't break, copy or automate the site (bots, scraping, reverse engineering).
- Don't hand your invite link to strangers: this community works because each member vouches for who they let in.
7. Staying safe when buying and selling
Because Patio isn't part of the transaction, caution is on you. Some advice:
- Meet in a public place during the day; if it's at a home, bring someone.
- Inspect the item before paying. Test it if you can.
- Be wary of anyone who rushes you, "accidentally" overpays, asks for refunds through another channel, sends payment links, or wants to close without meeting.
- For tickets, confirm the transfer went through the event's official platform before paying.
- For subleases, read the lease and confirm with the landlord that subletting is allowed.
- Never share passwords or verification codes you receive by message.
If something goes wrong, message us: we can suspend accounts and remove listings, but we cannot recover your money or force anyone to deliver.
8. Patio Partners
Some businesses appear as Patio Partners, with a mark and their logo. That mark only means the Patio team confirmed who is behind that account. It is not a guarantee about their items, prices, delivery or service.
9. Fees
Posting on Patio is free today. Patio may start charging for posting or for extra features; if that happens, the cost is shown before you post and you're never charged without accepting it. Patio takes no commission on your sales and doesn't handle payment between the parties.
10. Your data
- We store the minimum needed to run the site: your name, number, language, listings and usage data such as views and contacts.
- Your name is public within Patio. Your number is shown only to signed-in members; anonymous visitors never see it.
- The location on a listing is the point you pick on the map. Drop a general area rather than your front door if you'd rather not reveal your exact address.
- We don't sell your data.
11. Suspending accounts
We may remove a listing, suspend an account or block a number, without prior notice, if these terms are broken, if there are fraud reports, or if something puts the community at risk. A blocked number can't sign up again until it's unblocked.
12. No warranties and limits of liability
Patio is provided "as is", with no promise that it's always available, error-free, or that you'll find a buyer. To the extent the law allows, Patio and its operators are not liable for losses, damages, scams, defective items, deliveries that never happened, broken agreements, or the behavior of any member, on or off the site. You use Patio at your own risk.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. The date above shows the last time we did. If you keep using Patio after a change, you accept it.
